Solid Hardwood Throughout
Every desk is built from solid, kiln-dried hardwood - never veneer over particleboard. The carving on the aprons and legs is cut by hand, with a depth and crispness no machine relief can match. It's the difference between furniture that fills a room and furniture that holds it.
Hand-Finished Surfaces
We sand through six grits before the first coat of finish is applied. That process takes time - and it's the reason our surfaces have a depth and smoothness that factory-finished furniture doesn't. Drawers are dovetailed, frames are mortise-and-tenon, and every joint is pinned and glued the way European cabinetmakers have worked for centuries. A desk built this way doesn't loosen, rack, or wobble - it simply settles in for the next fifty years.
Leather, Brass & Executive Scale
Writing surfaces are inlaid full-grain leather, tooled and gilded by hand; hardware is solid brass that warms with use. And the proportions are genuinely executive - broad, deep, and generous - built for a long day's work, not a corner of one.
Built by Hand, Finished Over Weeks
Every desk begins as solid, kiln-dried hardwood — no composites, no shortcuts. Joints are cut and fitted by hand before a single coat of finish goes on. The surface is then sanded through six grits, sealed, and built up over multiple sessions until it reaches the depth you see. This is furniture made to be used every day for the rest of your life, and eventually someone else's.

Materials & Details
Solid kiln-dried hardwood throughout — no MDF, no veneered particleboard. The frame is mortise-and-tenon jointed, then hand-sanded through six grits before the first coat of finish is applied. Each piece takes multiple sessions over several weeks to reach the depth of colour and sheen you see.
Wipe with a soft, barely-damp cloth and dry immediately — never leave moisture on the surface. Use coasters and desk pads under hot or sharp objects. Reapply a light coat of furniture wax annually to maintain the patina. Keep out of prolonged direct sunlight to prevent uneven fading.
Complimentary white-glove delivery nationwide: our team carries it in, assembles, places, and removes all packaging. Lead time is 6–8 weeks as each desk is finished to order. Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery in original condition — contact us and we'll arrange collection.
